I have wondered about that, though for now I am going to stick with the female voice. An interesting thing about the Tom Tom is that they provide instructions on how to record the instructions in a voice of your choice. I intend to spend time this summer to get my kids voices recorded and uploaded onto the Tom Tom. That should be fun. I have also considered including my own voice, Indian accent and all... that should be fun as well.

Now that you know that your GPS navigation device is far from perfect, you could try to switch to one of the male voices of TomTom, in order to attempt to correct your sub-conscious gender attributions :)
