  • Does Involving Girls as Designers Result in Girl-Friendly Science Education Software? Comparing processes and outcomes of same-sex 5th and 8th grade girl and boy design teams. National Science Foundation. With Rhonda Egidio and Carrie Heeter, $640,000 (January 2003 – December 2005).
  • Perceived intelligence and the design of computer interfaces. New Faculty Research Initiation Program. Intramural Research Grant Program, Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, $50,000. (January 2001 – August 2002).
  • Bringing Attribution Theory to Educational Technology: Developing a new research agenda. Joe L. Byers & Lucy Bates-Byers Endowment. $40,000 (August 2000 – July 2003).
  • Development and field testing of interview and think-aloud protocols for studying epistemological beliefs of teachers and students in information technology rich instructional environments in community colleges career and technical education programs.
